Slight sticking may occur for the first several uses.Dishwashing will lengthen the amount of time to develop seasoning. Stoneware will naturally season and develop a nonstick surface over time with use.Wipe off excess paste with a nonabrasive sponge or cloth,rinse thoroughly, and towel dry. Apply to desired areas and let stand for 15–20 minutes. To deep clean: Prepare a baking soda paste by mixing ½ cup (125 mL) of baking soda with 3 tbsp (45 mL) water.Allow the stone to fully cool before dishwashing. Wash before first use dishwasher-safe.Stoneware may scratch surfaces place a protective barrier between the stoneware and the surface.Always place stoneware on hot pads or trivets to avoid damage to countertops and tables.If placing frozen foods directly onto a preheated stone, evenly spread across the entire stone to minimize potential breakage. Let stoneware cool to room temperature before adding liquid or cleaning. Evenly distribute food over the stone and avoid clustering.
